Writing for the Daily Mail, Ms Kidd said that there were numerous benefits to using the combination product, which is a consistency between powder and liquid.
Products are long-lasting once set and do not require applicators or brushes to apply, she explained.
Ms Kidd added: "Thanks to its creamy, slippery texture, it's easy to create a soft, flattering finish with no hard edges. It is also easier to create a subtle, sheer effect because cream shadows are so easily blended."
For a daytime look, the expert suggested nudes, such as beige, shell or peach, with browns and taupes used to create definition.
Meanwhile, for a night out on the town, layer darker shades over each other to create a metallic finish.
